Our Code of Ethics

Doc’s Recovery House is a nonprofit recovery community organization. Our mission is to reignite the light in each person by treating them with dignity and respect while walking alongside their path to recovery.

Our Code of Conduct:

  • Dignity and Respect: We treat everyone with dignity and respect, in all of our affairs, from small moments to significant interactions.

  • Rigorous Honesty & Authenticity: We show up authentically, we stay in our lane, and we lead with our lived experience. We tell the truth and operate with integrity.

  • Ethics and Accountability: We follow the code of ethics for peer recovery services, follow the law, and do the right thing. We are accountable for our actions. We do no harm. We practice boundaries. We work as a team to model and support whole-team integrity, ethics and accountability.

Our Values:

  • We put people first, and at the center.

  • We treat people with love, compassion, empathy and curiosity.

  • We work as a team.

  • When we aren’t right, we work to get it right - and make it right.

  • We practice humility in leadership, and “give it away to keep it.”

  • We collaborate with others because we know we couldn’t do our work alone.

  • We live out our recovery values.

Our Commitment:

Effective. Ethical. Excellent. We strive to do the most effective work possible on behalf of our mission. We are driven by integrity and ethics in all our affairs. We strive for excellence - in our conduct, in our interactions, and the service and culture we provide to those we serve. We adjust when something needs changing, and we strive to stay at the forefront. We believe in the seriousness of our work and know our conduct matters to those around us.
